Notes about the Doidge surname
The Doidge (pronounced Dodge) family came to Northumberland County, Ontario, Canada from Devon, England in the late 1840s. They were Bible Christians and joined several of their brethren in this part of Ontario.
The Doidge variation on the surname Dodge originates in Devon, and this is where the majority of Doidge families can be found today. It is a very uncommon surname.
