My name is Nancy Bray. I started researching my family in 2007 after the birth of my son and the death of my grandmother. My grandmother had spent many hours telling me our family stories, and I wish that I had done this research while she was still alive! This web site represents the bulk of my research since that time.
In my spare time, I teach writing and communication at the university level, and I’m working on a PhD in Writing Studies.
My inclination to take on too much means that sometimes I don’t get back to people as quickly as I ought to. Be patient with me.
Information on Copyright
Genealogy is about collaboration and sharing, in my opinion. I encourage you to borrow recklessly from my research. Notice, however, that I have licensed my research under a Creative Commons non-commercial license. This means that I would prefer that you didn’t make millions off of my research. OK, I know I’m dreaming. You won’t make millions, but I would prefer it if you shared whatever you learn here for free with others.
Information on Privacy
To protect the innocent and not-so-innocent, I have added only minimal information about living people to this web site.
Collaborating with other researchers is one of the big thrills of internet genealogy for me. I want to thank all of you who have helped me with this research (you know who you are!). I look forward to meeting those of you who will help me in the future.
